Xena in the Cove Hey, my name is Chance and I want you to me the best babysitter in the world. Her name is Xena. Xena is the oldest Alaskan Malamute that lives here at Charmed Ones Kennel. She doesn’t live in the kennel. Xena lives with us. Mom had my Dad and Brothers build a 32x12 foot deck with matching chairs and a dog house for Xena. Don’t tell anyone …she wasn’t house broke when we got her when she was 4 years old but she is housebroke now. She still likes to go visit the kennel ( like in the picture below) but I prefer she stays with us .
Anyway, Xena sleeps my closet. I don’t have to worry about monsters because Xena will eat them. She sure will! She growls if anyone gets to close to me. Mama says Xena loves me and would die for me. Mama trusts Xena to protect me when she is busy and can’t be outside with me. Xena takes me everywhere I want to go and warns me when there is danger. She also tells Mom when I go to far…I wish she would not tell on me. I get in trouble and she gets hugs...unfair! I know she is just telling me how much she loves me.
Did you know Xena was born in Alaska? Sure was! I bet it was awesome. She has traveled all over the USA. I thought that would be cool but Mom says Xena was sold from breeder to breeder and they used her up. Not anymore…she will never leave us!!! She has been here 5 years so far. She isn’t a breeder .She is just my babysitter. Mom says Xena is getting old and has cancer. Mama says that I will have to take care of Xena someday.  Xena is a pet not a Breeder!!
